The University of Birmingham received its royal charter in 1900. The university is situated in Birmingham, England. It is a public research university. It was also the first English civic university to receive a royal charter. The University of Birmingham maintains its position in the top 100 universities globally every year.
The university is divided into five academic colleges with more than 100 departments. Birmingham is ranked top 10 in the UK in many courses like Anthropology, Archaeology, Dentistry, Geology, Music, and Materials Technology.
