Founded in 1956, Florida International University (FIU) is a public research university and a part of the State University System of Florida. It is the fourth largest American university by enrollment and is included in R1: Doctoral Universities with very high research activity. With 11 colleges and over 190 academic programs, it offers its students a diverse range of options to suit their academic interests. FIU is also renowned for its sports culture and representation in various national championships. It has consistently ranked among the top 100 national universities (by USNWR) and has 24 programs in the top 100 as well. The prestigious undergraduate international business program is ranked 2nd in the country (USNWR 2019).
