Cleveland State University is a public university, and a part of the University system of Ohio which traces its roots back to the 1920s, and has been in operation under the current name since 1964. With 7 constituent schools and colleges, CSU offers close to 70 academic majors, and close to 30 graduate programmes. It has also recently built Washkewicz hall, a 100,000 sq. ft. engineering research and teaching facility. CSU’s School of Film and Media Arts is the only film school in Ohio. The engineering program is ranked among the tier 1 engineering programs in the nation. It is also ranked among the best affordable universities in the United States by various magazines, surveys and college review websites. Students at CSU can enrol in the Engaged Learning Program which gives them access to over 3000 internship opportunities. They can also spend their time in over 200 student organizations on campus, which include academic and social clubs, student government and sports organizations.
